Hard-kerneled flint corn in the colors the season is named for — deep reds, burnished golds, purples and speckled bronze, no two ears alike. Grown by Amish and Mennonite families in Lancaster County and bought at auction, so the varieties shift through the season and every batch looks a little different.

Tie a few to the door, lay them down a table, or work them into a wreath. Flint corn dries hard and keeps for years, so what you hang this October can come back out next fall.
